Will’s Poncho
Have you ever met someone and been drawn to their amazing spirit immediately? We were introduced to Will Spargur by a mutual friend at Stitches West last year. We knew right away we wanted to collaborate on a project with him. And so, we bring you Will’s Poncho!
This gorgeous piece works well for men, women, or even children. The geometric design looks more complicated than it actually is, and with a knitted border or crocheted border option, you can make it uniquely your own.
This poncho is knit first as a flat piece and then folded in half. Using the yarn from the bind off, the edges will be seamed together leaving enough room for the head. A border is then added, and finally the collar at the end.
In addition to the pattern instructions we also made a video tutorial for the knit border:
- Large - Sample Colorway Purples (Jewel Box, Purple iris, Powder Puff)
- Medium - Not pictured
- Small - Sample Colorway Shamrock

Please Note |
Due to the nature of hand dyeing and the technique we use, each skein is unique. We dye in small batches, so there are no dye lots. The color, distribution, and saturation will vary from skein to skein. If working on a multi-skein project we recommend alternating skeins to avoid visual color differences, pooling, etc. Keep in mind the actual colors may differ based on the color settings of your screen as well (ie blue light filters). |
