Everyone has friends who have made such an impact on your life that they have become family.  This quick and engaging pattern twists and turns, representing the craft that weaves us all together. (get it?)

We Are Framily is an asymmetrical bandana style cowl inspired by my fiber framily.  It starts with a simple broken rib pattern, continuing to an intricate cable.  The brilliant design mimics the look of a triangular shawl but will stay in place without a shawl pin.

We were so lucky to meet Katherine at Stitches SoCal this year!  We are so impressed with the beauty of this cowl, and hope you love it too.

DESIGNER

Kathrine Harris is an avid knitter and collector and curator of a large stash of brightly colored yarns. Her love of indie dyed yarns and test knitting for other designers has led her to a love for designing. The spouse of a retired US Marine, she’s lived in various locations around the United States, currently Southern California, and is a mom to two incredible kids, and is blessed to be a “bonus” mom to an amazing woman.

Please Note

Due to the nature of hand dyeing and the technique we use, each skein is unique.  We dye in small batches, so there are no dye lots.  The color, distribution, and saturation will vary from skein to skein.  If working on a multi-skein project we recommend alternating skeins to avoid visual color differences, pooling, etc.  Keep in mind the actual colors may differ based on the color settings of your screen as well (ie blue light filters).
