Maybe it was the color, maybe the shape, or even the glitter, but when I finally finished the border on this unique shawl it screamed 1970’s earth mother to me.  So, break out your bell-bottoms and peasant blouses and get started on this unique design!

This shawl is worked from the bottom center up, adding stitches to the sides to form each chevron panel.  The chevrons are made with a series of increases and center double decreases, and alternating sections of stockinette and garter stitch sections.

Please Note

Due to the nature of hand dyeing and the technique we use, each skein is unique.  We dye in small batches, so there are no dye lots.  The color, distribution, and saturation will vary from skein to skein.  If working on a multi-skein project we recommend alternating skeins to avoid visual color differences, pooling, etc.  Keep in mind the actual colors may differ based on the color settings of your screen as well (ie blue light filters).
